Privacy Policy

DocAuto, Inc. (“we,” “us” or “DocAuto”) is committed to implementing measures designed to protect the privacy of those using our website. Although we respect the privacy of all those who visit our website, we may collect information from our visitors. This Privacy Policy governs your interaction with the DocAuto website. Except as set forth within this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service and other published guidelines, we do not release personally identifiable information about our visitors without their permission.

Please note that DocAuto reviews its privacy practices from time to time, and that those practices are, therefore, subject to change. We ask that you bookmark and periodically review this page to ensure continuing familiarity with the most current version of our Privacy Policy. The Types of Information We Gather

DocAuto may gather three types of information about our users:

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

When visitors come to our website, we may collect and aggregate information indicating, among other things, which pages of the website were visited, the order in which they were visited, and which hyperlinks were “clicked.” Collecting such information may involve the logging of the IP addresses, operating system, and browser software used by each visitor to the DocAuto website. Although such information is not personally identifiable, we can determine from an IP address a visitor’s Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity.

Personally Identifiable Information

References in this notice to “information” are also to personal information that you provide to us. DocAuto may gather personally identifiable information on a subscription form. Subscribers may choose to “opt in” to receive newsletters, updates, or promotional materials from DocAuto. If you fill in one of our registration forms from the United States or Canada, DocAuto will not release any personally identifiable registration information regarding you to third parties without your prior consent. If you reside outside of the United States, DocAuto sells its products primarily through resellers, so we may forward your inquiry to a partner that best matches your location and interests. If you do not wish to be contacted from a certified DocAuto Reseller, please feel free to forward any correspondence you receive to and just indicate you’d prefer to work with us directly. If you decide that you would like to discontinue receiving newsletters, updates, or promotional materials from DocAuto and/or its business partners, please contact us at

Also, DocAuto may use subscribers’ data to “pre-populate” forms which are displayed for collecting individual data by DocAuto and/or its business partners. In no case does pre-populating a form automatically transfer any data to DocAuto or any third party. Only if a user voluntarily requests that such data be transferred will any transfer take place – for example, if/when a user clicks a “submit form” button.

Installation Information

When installing some of our products, collecting information is either automatic, or requires an activation. In the case of automatic registration, the product will send information as to the license key, server information, and other required information. If a manual activation is required, this information is required to be transmitted to us for validation and a return of an authorization key. Information gathered is only for use in license validation.

How We Gather Information

Tracking Technologies

The word “cookies” in the context of DocAuto’s websites refers to cookies and web beacons. These are types of tracking technology.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files containing data that are downloaded to your computer when you visit our website. Most websites use cookies and tracking technologies. They help us to provide you with a smoother user experience, for example, by recognizing computers that have visited our websites previously, remembering your preferences, identifying popular articles, and arranging the content as appropriately as possible. Some cookies also help you to move around our website, use its features and improve your user journey. Essentially, cookies are a visitor’s identification card for the DocAuto computers, or servers, that placed them there.

How We Use Cookies

We include links to social networks and third-party sites (for example, Facebook and YouTube), which may then use information about your visit to target advertising to you on their websites. These are “Tracking” cookies. You should check third party websites for information about the cookies they use.

“Performance” cookies are used to collect information about how you use our websites. These gather data, such as the pages you visit most frequently and the error messages you encounter. DocAuto only uses performance cookies to analyze user journeys and improve how our website works.
