New Product Provides Better Document Access for Multi-Database Environments
ATLANTA — August 23, 2010 - DocAuto, the leading provider of software solutions for Autonomy iManage WorkSite, announced today the release of the Distributed System Connector for WorkSite. The Distributed System Connector for WorkSite completely reroutes all of the WorkSite document operations to handle them better in multi-database environments. This product can be especially helpful for firms that have multiple databases in multiple offices or regions around the world, and their users need to frequently access documents in different WorkSite databases and servers.
Some of the benefits of this new product include:
- Connects on-the-fly to any server needed to allow a user to access a document through a shortcut
- Improves functionality of native WorkSite commands (such as allowing multiple documents to be opened at once)
- Can be quickly substituted for any or all native WorkSite document operations
- Completely transparent to users
- Does not require a dedicated server, or any modifications to the WorkSite system on the back end
“With many of our large clients going to ‘Parallel’ WorkSpace designs in distributed environments, the need for dynamic cross-system connectivity is significantly increasing,” said David Kiefer, president of DocAuto. “The Distributed System Connector allows for more efficient use of network and WorkSite system resources by allowing users to seamlessly connect as needed, marshal those connections, and dispose of them when no longer needed.”
