Atlanta, GA - October 26, 2007 - Atlanta-based DocAuto Inc., the leading developer of software applications for the Interwoven WorkSite platform, today announced the availability of the Refiling Server for WorkSite Enterprise Edition. The Enterprise Edition takes greater control of the WorkSite refilling process, allowing processing of WorkSite structures and their child structures, in addition to the existing functionality of the Refiling Server product which processes documents with these structures.
DocAuto's Refiling Server for WorkSite was designed to address a common issue with WorkSite Matter-Centric Architectures, where users may not have full access rights to a specific folder in a WorkSpace, but may add content to that folder. The Refiling Server continuously monitors any number of WorkSite servers and databases, and can update or "refile" the security and profile metadata on documents as they are moved into folders, regardless of the security the user may have on the folder or document. Additionally, the Refiling Server can remove documents from all other folders where they may exist, enhancing the performance of the matter-centric architecture.
The Enterprise Edition extends the abilities of a firm to perform meticulously controlled structural refilling of metadata and security in a much more efficient way than native refiling processes. Specific processing can be configured for WorkSpace, Tab, Folder and Search structures, as well as distinguishing between structures that inherit security and those that do not. The WorkSite Refiling Server Enterprise Edition features include:
- Folder filtering by structural type or specific metadata values;
- Skipping specific document metadata fields;
- Controlled setting, clearing, or updating of any folder metadata field or search parameter;
- Recording all changes to metadata or security in Document History;
- Enabling powerful metadata filtering for content and structural metadata, with conditional refilling on a field-by-field basis.
